I do not know about you, but autumn is my favorite time of year. I do not think that it is solely related to being my birthday season either (that’s this Sunday, if you’re keeping track). I love the changes in the air, the changes in the leaves, the spices that come out, and the family time that happens. I just love autumn. One thing, however, that I’m not so much a fan of is going through my books, purging and making room for others that are more appropriate for our current time in life. One thing that I am doing is pulling books that I have Kindle copies of to replace my dusty paperbacks… which means… I have stacks upon stacks upon piles of books available to pass on.
In years past, I have tried to hold an annual book sale to share with other lovers of my genres (primarily Christian Historical Fiction). Last year, things happened I was extremely taken advantage of with some faux friends online and I’m hesitant to open myself up to such treatment again. (Dude and dudettes, this is to celebrate my birthday, share, and continue on the love of reading…) So, to my peoples, I have lots of books available, if you’re interested in anything, in particular, ask and I’ll check. If you’re local, come on by. If you’re tending to a church library and interested in buying books by the box-mailed, let me know. I have had books in my hallway taking up space, and I need to move on and make space for others (I do homeschool you know, and now I have TWO readers!). If you’re an author and want your books back so that you can pass them on to another reader, let me know.
Basically, if I am going to the post office, I want it to be worth the trip and postage. (I am a wrangler of four littles for your reminder, ha.)
Also, on that note, if you’re an author and want to be put on my 2019 reading list… I would love to accept any books to read via my Kindle. Kindle gift copies can be sent to CherryBlossomMJ(at)Gmail[dot]com. As my baby is getting toward more toddler, I have had more time to read. I can add you to my reading of Mary Connealy, Mesu Andrews, and various Barbour Books Christian Historical Fiction. (Btw, I do also read contemporary espionage mysteries as well.)
What is on your to read list of new releases? What is on your to read pile of past releases? What is on your list to read aloud to the kiddos this year?
